Pat Perry’s most recent body of work Especially Terrific surveys scenes of American suburban andmidwestern life from which beauty might arise. Beginning in the 2010s, the artist’s ongoing series of sketchbooks and photos documenting his travels within the United States from freight trains became some of his best-known works, showing scenes of “America from backstage.”
This exhibition is curated by Josef Zimmerman, Curator of Contemporary Art and is supported by the Edward D. and Ione Auer Foundation.
On view at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art from August 10th to October 13th, 2024.
