Andrew Schoultz - "Decade 2011 - 2021"
Hashimoto Contemporary and Paragon Books are pleased to present Decade: 2011 - 2021 - a new artist monograph and accompanying retrospective exhibition by Los Angeles-based Andrew Schoultz.
Decade: 2011 - 2021 chronicles the last ten years of exhibitions, artworks and public art projects by Schoultz. Spanning museum and gallery exhibitions, murals and large scale installation works across the US and internationally, the 256 vibrantly colored pages highlight the prolific artist’s meditative mark making and singular visual language. The book also features an introduction by John Zarobell and an afterword by Matt Gonzalez.
In conjunction with the book release, Hashimoto Contemporary will also present a retrospective exhibition featuring select works found in the forthcoming book, including Cathedral, a seminal and immersive work comprised of 20 individual painting panels. Other key pieces representing moments and bodies of work from Schoultz’s expansive exhibition history and visual explorations will be on view, including gilded American flags, works on paper, and a variety of densely detailed paintings.
Please join us for a book signing and exhibition opening on Saturday, July 16th from 4pm to 8pm. Advance copies of the new book will be available for in-person purchase and the event will be accompanied by a musical performance from Death Cheetah.
